4. Dual Control Modes: Remote Control & USB Connection

The MTxRUL turntable supports two independent control methods:

Control Method Features Best For
Infrared Remote Control Wireless, 8–10m effective range, no pairing needed Quick operation, retail display, exhibitions
USB Connection Control Wired, real-time data transmission, stable for long work Precision control, programming, automated workflows

Key advantages:

  • No manual mode switching required — the system automatically identifies commands
  • Command priority: USB control > remote control to avoid conflicts
  • Both modes support 360° rotation, speed adjustment, angle setting, and pause

This makes the MTxRUL an ideal electric turntable for display, product photography turntable, and 3D scanning turntable.

5. Infrared Remote Control Operation

Before using the remote control, ensure the turntable is powered on and in standby mode. Aim the remote at the infrared receiver on the turntable base with no obstacles in between.

5.1 Basic Control Functions

  • Start/Stop: Directly start or pause rotation
  • Speed+ / Speed–: Increase or decrease rotation speed in real time
  • Clockwise / Counterclockwise: Switch rotation direction

5.2 Angle Setting & Single-Step Rotation

Use direct angle keys such as 45°, 90°, 180°, 360° for fixed-angle rotation. After pressing any angle key, the turntable rotates to the set angle and stops automatically. This function is ideal for product display, fixed-angle shooting, and 3D scanning positioning.

5.3 360° Continuous Rotation Mode

Press the 360° Continuous Rotation button to enter full-circle continuous rotation mode. The turntable keeps rotating clockwise or counterclockwise until you press Start/Stop to pause. Widely used in store displays, exhibition stands, and long-term product showcasing.

5.4 Pendulum Swing Mode

First set a swing angle (such as 45° or 90°), then press Pendulum Mode. The turntable rotates forward to the set angle, pauses for a few seconds, rotates back to the origin, and repeats the swing cycle. Perfect for highlighting key product features.

5.5 Step-by-Step Rotation Mode

Press the equal-division number keys (such as 2/4/18/24/48) — the turntable divides 360° into equal steps. After each step rotation, it pauses automatically for shooting or scanning. This is the core mode for 3D scanner turntable and product photography turntable applications.

5.6 Origin Setting & Return to Origin

  • Set Origin: Mark the current position as the zero position
  • Return to Origin: The turntable automatically rotates back to the preset origin position

This ensures consistent positioning for multiple batches of shooting and scanning.

5.7 Parameter Save Function

After adjusting speed, direction, rotation mode, and angle, press the Save button. The turntable stores the current parameters and automatically runs with saved settings on next power-on — significantly improving efficiency for repeated use.

5.8 Remote Control Lock Function

Press the Lock key to lock all remote operations and prevent accidental touches. Press Lock again to unlock. This is particularly useful in exhibitions, retail stores, and public display environments.

5.9 Troubleshooting

If the remote control is ineffective, check: whether the remote is aligned with the receiver, whether there is obstacle interference, and whether the lock function is enabled. Restarting the turntable can also resolve most issues.

6. Windows Software Control (TurntableX)

6.1 Download & Installation

Download TurntableX.exe from the ComXim software page. The software is portable — no installation required, simply extract and run.
